Design is an integral part of my life. When I wake up in the morning I look at a cereal box and start thinking of the person who designed it. I’m surrounded by everything that’s made for its purpose or just for the idea of it. Both, as a consumer and a designer, I begin to realize that I’m more attracted to things with colors or pictures that completely stands out from the rest of the products. I like to see things well thought out or things that looks organic and abstract. I like asymmetrical composition, but balance all through out the page. The message or icons usually draws my attention, then I try to analyze it’s meaning. All design will always repeat itself, change through time and the new one will become the pass. Nothing is set in stone and design is an endless possibility of ideas.
I’m Mae Perlson and I live in San Mateo with my husband and daughter. We live in an Eichler house that inspires me to be creative. I’m a graphic designer, like a squirrel who is trying to get a nut. Like most designers, I need to keep my mind, my skills, and my creativity flowing.
